ขั้นเท่ากับ l is as lovely as you. as…as ใช้ในประโยคบอกเล่า l is as tall as you. ฉันสูงเท่ากับเธอ l can run as quickly as you. ฉันสามารถวิ่งได้เร็วเท่ากับเธอ ให้สังเกตว่า ระหว่าง as……as เป็น adjective หรือ adverb และเนื่องจากเป็นการเปรียบเทียบที่ เท่ากัน จึงคงใช้เพียง positive form เท่านั้น as……as เมื่อเป็นประโยคปฏิเสธ ตัวอย่าง l is as tall as you. l is as lovely as you.
