Rebellion—he went to the far country vv การกบฏ - เขา ผู้ชายไปประเทศเมือง ไกล 11 And he said, “There was a man who had two sons. 11 พระองค์ตรัสว่า “ ชาย คนหนึ่งมีบุตรสองคน

12 And the younger of them said to his father, ‘Father, give me the share of property that is coming to me.’ And he divided his property between them.

12 บุตรคนเล็กพูดกับบิดาว่า ' บิดาเจ้าข้า ขอทรัพย์ที่ ตกเป็นส่วนของข้าพเจ้า เถิด ' บิดาจึงแบ่งสมบัติ ให้แก่บุตรทั้งสอง

13 Not many days later, the younger son gathered all he had and took a journey into a far country, and there he squandered his property in reckless living.

13 ต่อมาไม่กี่วันบุตรคนเล็ก นั้นก็รวบรวมทรัพย์ทั้ง หมดแล้วไปเมืองไกล และได้ผลาญทรัพย์ของตน ที่นั่นด้วยการเป็นนักเลง

14 And when he had spent everything, a severe famine arose in that country, and he began to be in need. 14 เมื่อใช้ทรัพย์หมดแล้วก็ เกิดกันดารอาหารยิ่งนักทั่ว เมืองนั้น เขาจึงขัดสน

15 So he went and hired himself out to one of the citizens of that country, who sent him into his fields to feed pigs. 15 เขาไปอาศัยอยู่กับ ชาวเมืองนั้นคนหนึ่ง และ คนนั้นก็ใช้เขาไปเลี้ยงหมูที่ ทุ่งนา

16 And he was longing to be fed with the pods that the pigs ate, and no one gave him anything. 16 เขาใคร่จะได้อิ่มท้องด้วย ฝักถั่วที่หมูกินนั้น แต่ไม่มี ใครให้อะไรเขากิน

Repentance—he came to himself vv การสำนึกผิด - เขารู้สำนึกตัว แล้ว บทวี “But when he came to himself, he said, ‘How many of my father's hired servants have more than enough bread, but I perish here with hunger!

17 เมื่อเขารู้สำนึกตัวแล้ว จึงพูดว่า ' ลูกจ้างของบิดา เรามีมาก ยังมีอาหารกิน อิ่มและเหลืออีก ส่วนเรา จะมาตายเสียที่นี่เพราะอด อาหาร

18 I will arise and go to my father, and I will say to him, “Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you. 18 จำเราจะลุกขึ้นไปหาบิดา เรา และพูดกับท่านว่า “ บิดาเจ้าข้า ข้าพเจ้าได้ ผิดต่อสวรรค์และผิดต่อ ท่านด้วย

19 I am no longer worthy to be called your son. Treat me as one of your hired servants.”’ 19 ข้าพเจ้าไม่สมควรจะได้ ชื่อว่าเป็นลูกของท่าน ต่อไป ขอท่านให้ข้าพเจ้า เป็นเหมือนลูกจ้างของท่าน คนหนึ่งเถิด ” '

Rejoicing—he came to the father vv ความดีใจ - เขาไปหา บิดาของตน

20 And he arose and came to his father. But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and felt compassion, and ran and embraced him and kissed him.

20 แล้วเขาก็ลุกขึ้นไปหา บิดาของตน แต่เมื่อเขา ยังอยู่แต่ไกล บิดาแลเห็น เขาก็มีความเมตตา จึงวิ่ง ออกไปกอดคอจุบเขา

21 And the son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son.’ 21 ฝ่ายบุตรนั้นจึงกล่าวแก่บิดา ว่า ' บิดาเจ้าข้า ข้าพเจ้าได้ ผิดต่อสวรรค์และต่อท่าน ข้าพเจ้าไม่สมควรจะได้ชื่อว่า เป็นลูกของท่านต่อไป '

22 But the father said to his servants, ‘Bring quickly the best robe, and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet. 22 แต่บิดาสั่งบ่าวของตนว่า ' จงรีบไปเอาเสื้ออย่างดี ที่สุดมาสวมให้เขา และ เอาแหวนมาสวมนิ้วมือ กับเอารองเท้ามาสวมให้ เขา

23 And bring the fattened calf and kill it, and let us eat and celebrate. 23 จงเอาลูกวัวอ้วนพีมาฆ่า เลี้ยงกัน เพื่อความรื่นเริง ยินดีเถิด

24 For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found.’ And they began to celebrate. 24 เพราะว่าลูกของเราคนนี้ ตายแล้ว แต่กลับเป็นอีก หายไปแล้วแต่ได้พบกันอีก ' เขาทั้งหลายต่างก็มีความรื่น เริงยินดี

T HE J OY OF F ORGIVING L UKE 15:25-32 ความติยินดีของยกโทษให้ ลู กา​ 15: “Now his older son was in the field, and as he came and drew near to the house, he heard music and dancing.

25 “ ฝ่ายบุตรคนโตนั้นกำลัง อยู่ที่ทุ่งนา เมื่อเขา กลับมาใกล้ตึกแล้ว ก็ได้ ยินเสียงมโหรีและเต้นรำ

26 And he called one of the servants and asked what these things meant. 26 เขาจึงเรียกบ่าวคนหนึ่ง มาถามว่า เขาทำอะไรกัน

27 And he said to him, ‘Your brother has come, and your father has killed the fattened calf, because he has received him back safe and sound.’

27 บ่าวจึงตอบว่า ' น้อง ของท่านกลับมาแล้ว และ บิดาได้ให้ฆ่าลูกวัวอ้วนพี เพราะได้ลูกกลับมาโดย สวัสดิภาพ '

28 But he was angry and refused to go in. His father came out and entreated him, 28 ฝ่ายพี่ชายก็โกรธไม่ยอม เข้าไป บิดาจึงออกมา ชักชวนเขา

29 but he answered his father, ‘Look, these many years I have served you, and I never disobeyed your command, yet you never gave me a young goat, that I might celebrate with my friends.

29 แต่เขาบอกบิดาว่า ' ดูแน่ะ ข้าพเจ้าได้ ปรนนิบัติท่านกี่ปีมาแล้ว และมิได้ละเมิดคำบัญชา ของท่านสักข้อหนึ่งเลย แม้แต่เพียงลูกแพะสักตัว หนึ่งท่านก็ยังไม่เคยให้ ข้าพเจ้า เพื่อจะเลี้ยงกัน เป็นที่รื่นเริงยินดีกับเพื่อน ฝูงของข้าพเจ้า

30 But when this son of yours came, who has devoured your property with prostitutes, you killed the fattened calf for him!’ 30 แต่เมื่อลูกคนนี้ของท่าน ผู้ได้ผลาญสิ่งเลี้ยงชีพของ ท่าน โดยคบหญิงชั่ว มาแล้ว ท่านยังได้ฆ่าลูก วัวอ้วนพีเลี้ยงเขา '

31 And he said to him, ‘Son, you are always with me, and all that is mine is yours. 31 บิดาจึงตอบเขาว่า ' ลูก เอ๋ย เจ้าอยู่กับเราเสมอ และสิ่งของทั้งหมดของเรา ก็เป็นของเจ้า

32 It was fitting to celebrate and be glad, for this your brother was dead, and is alive; he was lost, and is found.’” 32 แต่สมควรที่เราจะได้รื่น เริงและยินดี เพราะน้อง ของเจ้าคนนี้ตายแล้ว แต่ กลับเป็นขึ้นอีก หายไป แล้วแต่ได้พบกันอีก '”
