What is TKT test? TKT คือ การทดสอบความรู้ด้านการสอนภาษาอังกฤษให้แก่ผู้เรียนที่ไม่ได้ใช้ภาษาอังกฤษเป็นภาษาแม่ (ESOL=English to Speakers of Other Languages ) และเน้นความรู้ที่ครูสอนภาษาอังกฤษทุกคนจำเป็นต้องมี Have trainees make groups of five or six. And discuss the following questions.

TKT เป็นการทดสอบที่ผู้สอบสามารถเข้าถึงได้ง่าย ซึ่งได้มีการเตรียม และนำไปใช้ในระดับมาตรฐานสากล ในห้องเรียน

Who can take TKT? TKT ครูผู้สอนภาษาอังกฤษทุกคนทุกระดับชั้นและผู้ที่ไม่เคยสอน แต่ต้องการประกอบอาชีพสอนภาษาอังกฤษ สามารถสมัครเข้ารับการทดสอบความรู้ด้านการสอนภาษาอังกฤษ ในเวลาใดหรือช่วงเวลาใดของการประกอบอาชีพได้ตามความต้องการตลอดเวลา Discussion: 10-15 minutes Invite volunteers on stage to act as panellists. Lead panel discussion and collect feedback Panellists report to the whole group. Comments and questions from the audience.

ในการสมัครสอบ TKT ผู้สอบจำเป็นต้องมีระดับความสามารถทางภาษาอังกฤษอย่างน้อยที่สุดคือIntermediate level of English ผู้สมัครควร มีความคิดรวบยอดขั้นพื้นฐาน (Basic Concept)

What are the contents of TKT test? วิธีการสอนแบบต่างๆ (Different ways of teaching) ภาษาที่ใช้ในการสอน (The language of teaching) การใช้ทรัพยากร (How resource can be used) องค์ประกอบสำคัญของแผนการสอน (Key elements of lesson planning) การจัดการในชั้นเรียนที่มีผู้เรียนแตกต่างกัน (Classroom management methods for different needs)

Modules มี 3 ส่วน (3 Modules) สามารถสอบรวมกันทีเดียว 3 ส่วน หรือจะแยกสอบแต่ละส่วนในลำดับใดก็ได้ตามช่วงระยะเวลาที่กำหนด ในแต่ละส่วนมีข้อทดสอบ 80 ข้อ ใช้เวลา 80 นาที

Module 1 Language and background to language learning and teaching ภาษาที่ใช้ในการบรรยายและทักษะทางภาษา พื้นความรู้ด้านการเรียนภาษา พื้นความรู้ด้านการสอนภาษา

Module 2 Lesson planning and use of resources for language teaching การวางแผนการสอนและเตรียมบทเรียนหรือลำดับขั้นตอนของบทเรียน การเลือกและการใช้ทรัพยากรและสื่อการเรียนการสอน

Module 3 Managing the teaching and learning process ภาษาที่ใช้ในห้องเรียนของครูและของนักเรียน การจัดการในห้องเรียน

TKT Task Types Task Type 1 Matching Task Type 2 Multiple Choice Task Type 3 Sequencing Task Type 4 Odd One Out

Grading and results Band1= limited knowledge of TKT content areas (Less than 20%) Band2= basic, but systematic knowledge of TKT content areas (around 20%) Band3= breadth and depth of knowledge of TKT content areas (around 50%) Band4= extensive knowledge of TKT content areas (around 85%)

Do’s for TKT Test Revise all topic areas from the syllabus. Do some sample tasks for practice. Identify which kind of task you are working on. Read the instructions carefully. Make sure you understand how to complete the answer sheet. Time yourself carefully – divide your time up equally between the questions. Imagine you are talking to an ERIC manager who has not run a TKT course before. What advice would you give them to enable them to run a successful course?

Check your answers. Shade the lozenges carefully. Do learn all the terms in the glossary even though you may only be preparing for one module. Make rough notes if you need to, but remember to mark your answers on the answer sheet.

X Don’ts for TKT Test Don't get nervous in the exam – just relax and do your best! Don't leave any answers blank (make a guess if necessary). Don't worry about your English. You are not tested on this. Don't forget to mark your answers on the answer sheet correctly.
