9 And the kings of the earth, who committed sexual immorality and lived in luxury with her, will weep and wail over her when they see the smoke of her burning.

9 บรรดากษัตริย์แห่งแผ่นดินโลก ที่ได้ล่วงประเวณีกับนครนั้นและได้เสเพลร่วมกันนั้น เมื่อได้เห็นควันไฟที่ไหม้นครนั้นก็จะพิลาปร่ำไห้คร่ำครวญ

10 They will stand far off, in fear of her torment, and say, “Alas 10 They will stand far off, in fear of her torment, and say, “Alas! Alas! You great city, you mighty city, Babylon! For in a single hour your judgment has come.”

10 พวกกษัตริย์จะยืนอยู่แต่ห่างๆ เพราะกลัวภัยแห่งการทรมานของนครนั้น และจะกล่าวว่า “วิบัติแล้ว วิบัติแล้วบาบิโลนมหานครที่ยิ่งใหญ่ เจ้าได้รับการพิพากษาโทษให้พินาศไปภายในชั่วโมงเดียวเท่านั้น”

11 And the merchants of the earth weep and mourn for her, since no one buys their cargo anymore, 11 บรรดาพ่อค้าในแผ่นดินโลกจะร่ำไห้คร่ำครวญเพราะนครนั้น เพราะว่าไม่มีใครซื้อสินค้าของเขาอีกต่อไปแล้ว

12 cargo of gold, silver, jewels, pearls, fine linen, purple cloth, silk, scarlet cloth, all kinds of scented wood, all kinds of articles of ivory, all kinds of articles of costly wood, bronze, iron and marble,

12 สินค้าเหล่านั้นคือ ทองคำ เงิน เพชรพลอยต่างๆ ไข่มุก ผ้าป่านเนื้อละเอียด ผ้าสีม่วง ผ้าไหม ผ้าสีแดงเข้ม ไม้หอมทุกชนิด เครื่องที่ทำด้วยงา เครื่องไม้ที่มีราคามาก เครื่องทองสัมฤทธิ์ เครื่องเหล็ก เครื่องศิลาลาย

13 cinnamon, spice, incense, myrrh, frankincense, wine, oil, fine flour, wheat, cattle and sheep, horses and chariots, and slaves, that is, human souls.

13 อบเชย เครื่องเทศ เครื่องหอม มดยอบ กำยาน เหล้าองุ่น น้ำมัน ยอดแป้ง ข้าวสาลี โค แกะ ม้า รถรบ และทาส และชีวิตมนุษย์

14 “The fruit for which your soul longed has gone from you, and all your delicacies and your splendors are lost to you, never to be found again!”

14 ผลซึ่งจิตของเจ้ากระหายใคร่ได้นั้นก็ล่วงพ้นไปจากเจ้าแล้ว สิ่งสารพัดอันวิเศษยิ่งและหรูหราก็พินาศไปจากเจ้าแล้ว และเจ้าจะไม่ได้พบอีกเลย

15 The merchants of these wares, who gained wealth from her, will stand far off, in fear of her torment, weeping and mourning aloud,

15 บรรดาพ่อค้าที่ได้ขายสิ่งของเหล่านั้น จนเป็นคนมั่งมีเพราะนครบาบิโลนนั้น จะยืนอยู่แต่ไกล เพราะกลัวภัยจากการทรมานของนครนั้น พวกเขาจะร้องไห้คร่ำครวญด้วยเสียงดัง

16 “Alas, alas, for the great city that was clothed in fine linen, in purple and scarlet, adorned with gold, with jewels, and with pearls!

16 ว่า “วิบัติแล้ว วิบัติแล้วมหานครนั้น ที่ได้นุ่งห่มผ้าป่านเนื้อละเอียด ผ้าสีม่วงและผ้าสีแดงเข้ม ที่ได้ประดับด้วยทองคำ เพชรพลอยต่างๆ และไข่มุกนั้น

17 เพียงในชั่วโมงเดียว ทรัพย์สมบัติเหล่านั้นก็พินาศสูญไปสิ้น” และนายเรือทุกคน คนที่โดยสารเรือ พวกลูกเรือ และคนทั้งหลายที่มีอาชีพทางทะเลก็ได้ยืนอยู่แต่ห่างๆ \

18 and cried out as they saw the smoke of her burning, “What city was like the great city?” 18 และเมื่อคนเหล่านั้นได้เห็นควันไฟที่ไหม้นครนั้นก็ร้องว่า “นครใดเล่าจะเป็นเหมือนมหานครนี้”

19 And they threw dust on their heads as they wept and mourned, crying out, “Alas, alas, for the great city where all who had ships at sea grew rich by her wealth! For in a single hour she has been laid waste.

19 และเขาก็โปรยผงคลีลงบนศีรษะของ ตน พลางร้องไห้คร่ำครวญ ว่า “วิบัติ แล้ว วิบัติแล้วมหานครนี้ อันเป็นที่ซึ่ง คนทั้งปวง ที่มีเรือกำปั่น เดินทะเล ได้ เป็นคนมั่งมีขึ้นด้วยทรัพย์สมบัติของนคร นั้น ภายในชั่วโมงเดียวนครนั้นก็เป็นที่ ร้างเปล่า”

2 Peter 2 เปโตร2:19 19 They promise them freedom, but they themselves are slaves of corruption. For whatever overcomes a person, to that he is enslaved.

19 เขาสัญญาว่าจะให้คนเหล่านั้นพ้นจากการเป็นทาส แต่ตัวเขาเองยังเป็นทาสของความเสื่อมทราม เพราะว่ามนุษย์พ่ายแพ้แก่สิ่งใด เขาก็เป็นทาสของสิ่งนั้น

20 Rejoice over her, O heaven, and you saints and apostles and prophets, for God has given judgment for you against her!”

20 แน่ะเมืองสวรรค์ บรรดาธรรมิกชน อัครทูตและพวกผู้เผยพระวจนะทั้งหลาย จงร่าเริงยินดีเพราะนครนั้นเถิด เพราะพระเจ้าได้ทรงพิพากษาลงโทษนครนั้นให้ท่านทั้งหลายแล้ว

21 Then a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone and threw it into the sea, saying, “So will Babylon the great city be thrown down with violence, and will be found no more;

21 แล้วทูตสวรรค์องค์หนึ่งที่มีฤทธิ์มาก ก็ได้ยกหินก้อนหนึ่งเหมือนหินโม่ใหญ่ทุ่มลงไปในทะเลแล้วว่า “บาบิโลนมหานครนั้นจะถูกทุ่มลงโดยแรงอย่างนี้แหละ และจะไม่มีใครเห็นนครนั้นอีกต่อไปเลย

22 and the sound of harpists and musicians, of flute players and trumpeters, will be heard in you no more, and a craftsman of any craft will be found in you no more, and the sound of the mill will be heard in you no more,

22 และจะไม่มีใครได้ยินเสียงนักดีดพิณ นักเล่นมโหรี นักเป่าขลุ่ย และนักเป่าแตรในเจ้าอีกต่อไป และในเจ้าจะไม่มีช่างในวิชาช่างต่างๆ อีกต่อไป และจะไม่มีใครได้ยินเสียงโม่แป้งในเจ้าอีกต่อไป

23 and the light of a lamp will shine in you no more, and the voice of bridegroom and bride will be heard in you no more, for your merchants were the great ones of the earth, and all nations were deceived by your sorcery.

23 และในเจ้าจะไม่มีแสงประทีปส่องสว่างอีกต่อไป และจะไม่มีใครได้ยินเสียงเจ้าบ่าวเจ้าสาวในเจ้าอีกต่อไป เพราะว่าบรรดาพ่อค้าของเจ้าได้เป็นคนใหญ่โตแห่งแผ่นดินโลกแล้ว และวิทยาคมของเจ้าได้ล่อลวงบรรดาประชาชาติให้ลุ่มหลง

24 And in her was found the blood of prophets and of saints, and of all who have been slain on earth.” 24 และในนครนั้นเขาได้พบโลหิตของผู้เผยพระวจนะและพวกธรรมิกชน และบรรดาคนที่ถูกฆ่าบนแผ่นดินโลก”  

Jeremiah เยเรมีห์ 25:9-11 9 behold, I will send for all the tribes of the north, declares the LORD, and for Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, my servant, and I will bring them against this land and its inhabitants, and against all these surrounding nations. I will devote them to destruction, and make them a horror, a hissing, and an everlasting desolation.

9 พระเจ้าตรัสว่า ดูเถิด เราจะเรียกเผ่าชนทั้งสิ้นของทิศเหนือและเนบูคัดเนสซาร์ กษัตริย์บาบิโลนผู้รับใช้ของเรา และเราจะนำเขาทั้งหลายมาต่อสู้ แผ่นดินนี้และชาวเมืองนี้และบรรดา ประชาชาติเหล่านี้ซึ่งอยู่ล้อมรอบ เราจะทำลายเขาทั้งหลายให้สิ้นเชิง และเราจะกระทำเขาให้เป็นที่น่า หวาดเสียวและเป็นที่เยาะเย้ยและเป็นที่ร้างเปล่าเป็นนิตย์

10 Moreover, I will banish from them the voice of mirth and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride, the grinding of the millstones and the light of the lamp.

10 ยิ่งกว่านั้นอีกเราจะกำจัดเสียงบันเทิงและเสียงร่าเริง เสียงเจ้าบ่าวและเสียงเจ้าสาว เสียงหินโม่และแสงตะเกียงเสียจากเจ้า

11 This whole land shall become a ruin and a waste, and these nations shall serve the king of Babylon seventy years. 11 แผ่นดินนี้ทั้งสิ้นจะเป็นที่เริศร้างและทิ้งร้าง และบรรดาประชาชาติเหล่านี้จะปรนนิบัติกษัตริย์ กรุงบาบิโลนอยู่เจ็ดสิบปี
