อย่างนี้ต้องพูดว่า If I had had a chance, I would have studies hard. แก้ไขอดีตได้คงดีนะเทอมที่แล้วไม่ตั้งใจเรียนเกรดออกมาแย่เลย เฮ้อ พลาดโอกาสดี ๆ เลยเรา นักวิทยาศาสตร์ย้อนเวลากลับไปในอดีตและพบคนสมัยโบราณ พบข้อผิดพลาดในอดีตแต่เขาไม่สามารถแก้ไขเหตุการณ์ในอดีตได้ อะไร had had งงจัง

Past Unreal - เหตุการณ์ได้เกิดแล้วในอดีต และตรงข้ามกับความจริง เป็นเงื่อนไขที่เกิดขึ้นในสิ่งที่เป็นไปไม่ได้หรือตรงข้ามกับความเป็นจริง และเหตุการณ์นั้นจบลงแล้วในอดีต Form : If + Past Perfect + Past Future Perfect (S + had + V3) (S + would have + V3)

Example : If she had studied hard, you would have passed the exam. ถ้าเธอตั้งใจเรียนมากกว่านี้ เธอคงจะสอบผ่าน (จริงๆแล้วเธอสอบตก) If he had taken more exercise, he wouldn’t have got fat. ถ้าเขาออกกำลังกายมากกว่านี้ เขาคงจะไม่อ้วน (จริงๆแล้ว เขาอ้วน)

Example : If I had married to John, I would have gone to The USA with him. ถ้าฉันแต่งงานกับจอห์น ฉันคงได้ไปอเมริกากับเขาแล้ว (ความจริงฉันไม่ได้แต่งงานกับจอห์น และฉันก็ไม่ได้ไปอเมริกาด้วย
