Passive voice One can change the normal word order of many active sentences (those with a direct object) so that the subject is no longer active, but is, instead, being acted upon by the verb - or passive.

To change a sentence from active to passive voice, do the following:
1. Move the active sentence 's direct object into the sentence's subject slot

ในลำดับต่อไปนี้ก็มาถึงจุดสำคัญอีกประการหนึ่งคือ ไม่ว่าในประโยคหนึ่ง ๆ นั้น 1. ประธานจะเป็นผู้กระทำ หรือถูกกระทำ 2. จะระบุผู้กระทำ (by someone) หรือไม่ก็ตาม โครงสร้างแบบ Passive Voice ก็ต้องระบุกาลเวลาของกริยา (tense) ด้วยเหมือนกับในประโยคภาษาอังกฤษทั่ว ๆ ไป รูปของ Active Voice คือ S + V รูปของ Passive Voice คือ S + V to be + V.3
