James 3 Taming the Tongue ยากอบ 3 ฝึกฝนลิ้น 1 Not many of you should become teachers, my brothers, for you know that we who teach will be judged with greater strictness.

1 ดูก่อนพี่น้องของข้าพเจ้า อย่าให้เป็นอาจารย์กันมากหลายคนเลย เพราะท่านก็รู้ว่า เราทั้งหลายที่เป็นผู้สอนนั้น จะได้รับการทรงพิพากษาที่เข้มงวดกว่าผู้อื่น

2 Timothy ทิโมธี 2:15 15 Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth. 15 จงอุตส่าห์สำแดงตนว่าได้ทรงพิสูจน์แล้วเป็นคนงานที่ไม่ต้องอาย ใช้พระวจนะแห่งความจริงอย่างถูกต้อง

3 If we put bits into the mouths of horses so that they obey us, we guide their whole bodies as well. 3 ถ้าเราเอาบังเหียนใส่ปากม้าเพื่อให้มันเชื่อฟังเรา เราก็บังคับมันให้ไปไหนๆได้ทั้งตัว

4 Look at the ships also: though they are so large and are driven by strong winds, they are guided by a very small rudder wherever the will of the pilot directs. 4 จงดูเรือด้วยเช่นกัน ถึงแม้ว่าเป็นเรือใหญ่ และถูกลมแรงพัดแล่นไป เรือก็ยังหันไปมาด้วยหางเสือเล็กๆ ตามใจนายท้ายที่จะให้ไปทางไหน

How great a forest is set ablaze by such a small fire! 5 ลิ้นก็เช่นเดียวกัน เป็นอวัยวะเล็กๆ และอวดอ้างเรื่องใหญ่ๆ จงดูเถิด ไฟนิดเดียวอาจเผาป่าใหญ่ให้ไหม้ได้หนอ

Ephesians เอเฟซัส4:29 29Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear.

29อย่าให้คำหยาบคายออกมาจากปากท่านเลย แต่จงกล่าวคำที่ดีและเป็นประโยชน์ให้เหมาะสมกับความต้องการ เพื่อจะได้เป็นคุณแก่คนที่ได้ยินได้ฟัง

6 และลิ้นนั้นก็เป็นไฟ ลิ้นเป็นโลกที่ไร้ธรรมในบรรดาอวัยวะของเรา เป็นเหตุให้ทั้งกายมลทินไปทำให้วัฏฏะแห่งชีวิตเผาไหม้ และมันเองก็ติดไฟโดยนรก

7 For every kind of beast and bird, of reptile and sea creature, can be tamed and has been tamed by mankind, 7 เพราะสัตว์เดียรัจฉานทุกชนิด ทั้งนก สัตว์เลื้อยคลาน และสัตว์ในทะเลก็เลี้ยงให้เชื่องได้ และมนุษย์ก็ได้เลี้ยงให้เชื่องแล้ว

8 but no human being can tame the tongue 8 but no human being can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison. 8 แต่ลิ้นนั้นไม่มีมนุษย์คนใดสามารถทำให้เชื่องได้ ลิ้นเป็นสิ่งชั่ว ที่อยู่ไม่สุขและเต็มไปด้วยพิษร้ายถึงตาย

9 With it we bless our Lord and Father, and with it we curse people who are made in the likeness of God. 9 เราทั้งหลายสรรเสริญองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าและพระบิดาด้วยลิ้นนั้น และด้วยลิ้นนั้นเราก็แช่งด่ามนุษย์ ผู้ซึ่งพระเจ้าทรงสร้างไว้ตามพระฉายาของพระองค์

10 From the same mouth come blessing and cursing 10 From the same mouth come blessing and cursing. My brothers, these things ought not to be so. 10 คำสรรเสริญและคำแช่งด่าก็ออกมาจากปากอันเดียวกัน ดูก่อนพี่น้องของข้าพเจ้า ไม่ควรให้เป็นเช่นนั้น

11 Does a spring pour forth from the same opening both fresh and salt water? 11 บ่อน้ำพุจะมีน้ำจืดและน้ำกร่อยพุ่งออกมาจากช่องเดียวกันได้หรือ

12 Can a fig tree, my brothers, bear olives, or a grapevine produce figs? Neither can a salt pond yield fresh water. 12 พี่น้องทั้งหลายต้นมะเดื่อจะออกผลเป็นมะกอกเทศได้หรือ หรือเถาองุ่นจะออกผลเป็นมะเดื่อได้หรือ บ่อน้ำพุเค็มก็ทำให้เกิดน้ำจืดอีกไม่ได้เลย

Matthew มัทธิว 15:10-11 10 And He called the people to Him and said to them, “Hear and understand 10แล้วพระองค์ทรงเรียกประชาชนและตรัสกับเขาว่า “จงฟังและเข้าใจเถิด

11 it is not what goes into the mouth that defiles a person, but what comes out of the mouth; this defiles a person.” 11 มิใช่สิ่งซึ่งเข้าไปในปากจะทำให้มนุษย์เป็นมลทิน แต่สิ่งซึ่งออกมาจากปากนั้นแหละทำให้มนุษย์เป็นมลทิน”

Matthew มัทธิว 15:17-20 17 Do you not see that whatever goes into the mouth passes into the stomach and is expelled? 17 ท่านยังไม่เห็นหรือว่า สิ่งใดๆซึ่งเข้าไปในปากก็ลงไปในท้อง แล้วก็ถ่ายออกลงส้วมไป

18 But what comes out of the mouth proceeds from the heart, and this defiles a person. 18 แต่สิ่งที่ออกจากปากก็ออกมาจากใจ สิ่งนั้นแหละทำให้มนุษย์เป็นมลทิน

19 For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false witness, slander. 19 ความคิดชั่วร้าย การฆ่าคน การผิดผัวผิดเมีย การล่วงประเวณี การลักขโมย การเป็นพยานเท็จ การใส่ร้าย ก็ออกมาจากใจ

20 These are what defile a person 20 These are what defile a person. But to eat with unwashed hands does not defile anyone.” 20 สิ่งเหล่านี้แหละที่ทำให้มนุษย์เป็นมลทิน แต่ซึ่งจะรับประทานอาหารโดยไม่ล้างมือก่อน ไม่ทำให้มนุษย์เป็นมลทิน”

13 Who is wise and understanding among you 13 Who is wise and understanding among you? By his good conduct let him show his works in the meekness of wisdom. 13 ในพวกท่านผู้ใดเป็นคนฉลาดและมีปัญญา ก็ให้ผู้นั้นแสดงการประพฤติของตนด้วยพฤติกรรมอันดี มีใจอ่อนสุภาพประกอบด้วยปัญญา
