Acts 5 Continued Many Signs and Wonders Done Acts กิจการ 5:12-16 มีหมายสำคัญและการอัศจรรย์หลายอย่าง

12Now many signs and wonders were regularly done among the people by the hands of the apostles. And they were all together in Solomon's Portico. 12มีหมายสำคัญและการอัศจรรย์หลายอย่าง ซึ่งอัครทูตได้ทำด้วยมือของตนในหมู่ประชาชน พวกสาวกอยู่พร้อมกันในเฉลียงของซาโลมอน

13None of the rest dared join them, but the people held them in high esteem. 13คนอื่นๆไม่อาจเข้ามาอยู่ด้วย แต่ประชาชนเคารพอัครทูตมาก

14And more than ever believers were added to the Lord, multitudes of both men and women, 14มีชายหญิงเป็นอันมากที่เชื่อถือ ได้เข้ามาเป็นสาวกของพระเจ้ามากกว่าก่อน

15so that they even carried out the sick into the streets and laid them on cots and mats, that as Peter came by at least his shadow might fall on some of them. 15จนเขาหามคนเจ็บป่วยออกไปที่ถนนวางบนที่นอนและแคร่ เพื่อเมื่อเปโตรเดินผ่านไป อย่างน้อยเงาของท่านจะได้ถูกเขาบางคน

The Second Persecution Acts 5:17-42 17But the high priest rose up, and all who were with him (that is, the party of the Sadducees), and filled with jealousy 17ฝ่ายมหาปุโรหิตและพรรคพวกของท่านคือพวกสะดูสี มีความอิจฉาอย่างยิ่ง

18they arrested the apostles and put them in the public prison

19But during the night an angel of the Lord opened the prison doors and brought them out, and said, 19แต่ในเวลากลางคืนทูตองค์หนึ่งของพระเจ้า ได้มาเปิดประตูคุก พาพวกอัครทูตออกไป บอกว่า

20“Go and stand in the temple and speak to the people all the words of this Life.” 20“จงไปยืนในบริเวณพระวิหาร ประกาศบรรดาข้อความแห่งชีวิตใหม่นี้ให้ประชาชนฟัง”

21And when they heard this, they entered the temple at daybreak and began to teach. Now when the high priest came, and those who were with him, they called together the council and all the senate of Israel and sent to the prison to have them brought.

21เมื่ออัครทูตได้ยินอย่างนั้น พอรุ่งเช้าก็เข้าไปสั่งสอนในบริเวณพระวิหารต่อไป ฝ่ายมหาปุโรหิตประจำการกับพรรคพวกของท่าน ได้เรียกประชุมคือพฤฒสภาทั้งหมดของชนอิสราเอล แล้วใช้คนไปที่คุกให้พาอัครทูตออกมา

22But when the officers came, they did not find them in the prison, so they returned and reported, 22เจ้าพนักงานก็ไปแต่ไม่พบพวกอัครทูตในคุก จึงกลับมารายงานว่า

23“We found the prison securely locked and the guards standing at the doors, but when we opened them we found no one inside.” 23“ข้าพเจ้าทั้งหลายเห็นคุกปิดอยู่มั่นคงและคนเฝ้าก็ยืนอยู่ที่ประตู ครั้นเปิดประตูเข้าไปก็ไม่เห็นผู้ใดอยู่ข้างใน”

24Now when the captain of the temple and the chief priests heard these words, they were greatly perplexed about them, wondering what this would come to. 24เมื่อนายทหารรักษาพระวิหารกับพวกมหาปุโรหิตได้ยินคำเหล่านี้ ก็ฉงนสนเท่ห์ในเรื่องของอัครทูตว่าจะเป็นอย่างไรต่อไป

25And someone came and told them, “Look 25And someone came and told them, “Look! The men whom you put in prison are standing in the temple and teaching the people.” 25มีคนหนึ่งมาบอกเขาว่า “นี่แน่ะ คนเหล่านั้นซึ่งท่านทั้งหลายได้จำไว้ในคุก กำลังยืนสั่งสอนคนทั้งปวงอยู่ในบริเวณพระวิหาร”

26Then the captain with the officers went and brought them, but not by force, for they were afraid of being stoned by the people. 26แล้วนายทหารรักษาพระวิหารกับพวกเจ้าพนักงาน จึงได้ไปพาพวกอัครทูตมาโดยดี เพราะกลัวว่าคนทั้งปวงจะเอาหินขว้าง

27And when they had brought them, they set them before the council 27And when they had brought them, they set them before the council. And the high priest questioned them, 27เมื่อเขาได้พาพวกอัครทูตมาแล้วก็ให้ยืนหน้าสภา มหาปุโรหิตประจำการจึงถามว่า

28saying, “We strictly charged you not to teach in this name, yet here you have filled Jerusalem with your teaching, and you intend to bring this man's blood upon us.”

28“เราได้กำชับพวกเจ้าอย่างแข็งแรงมิให้สอนออกชื่อนี้ ก็นี่แน่ะ เจ้าได้ให้คำสอนของเจ้าแพร่ไปทั่วกรุงเยรูซาเล็ม และปรารถนาให้ความผิดเนื่องด้วยความตายของผู้นั้นตกอยู่กับเรา”

29But Peter and the apostles answered, “We must obey God rather than men. 29ฝ่ายเปโตรกับอัครทูตอื่นๆตอบว่า “ข้าพเจ้าจำต้องเชื่อฟังพระเจ้ายิ่งกว่าเชื่อฟังมนุษย์

30The God of our fathers raised Jesus, whom you killed by hanging him on a tree. 30พระเยซูซึ่งท่านทั้งหลายได้ฆ่าเสียโดยแขวนไว้ที่ต้นไม้นั้น พระเจ้าแห่งบรรพบุรุษของเราได้ทรงบันดาลให้เป็นขึ้นมาใหม่

31God exalted him at his right hand as Leader and Savior, to give repentance to Israel and forgiveness of sins.

31พระเจ้าได้ทรงตั้งพระองค์ไว้ที่พระหัตถ์เบื้องขวาของพระองค์ ให้เป็นองค์พระผู้นำและองค์พระผู้ช่วยให้รอด เพื่อจะให้ชนอิสราเอลกลับใจใหม่ แล้วจะทรงโปรดยกความบาปผิดของเขา

32And we are witnesses to these things, and so is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey him.” 32เราทั้งหลายจึงเป็นพยานถึงเรื่องเหล่านี้ และพระวิญญาณบริสุทธิ์ ซึ่งพระเจ้าได้ทรงประทานให้ทุกคนที่เชื่อฟังพระองค์นั้น ก็เป็นพยานด้วย”

33When they heard this, they were enraged and wanted to kill them

34But a Pharisee in the council named Gamaliel, a teacher of the law held in honor by all the people, stood up and gave orders to put the men outside for a little while. 34แต่คนหนึ่งชื่อกามาลิเอลเป็นพวกฟาริสีและเป็นบาเรียน เป็นที่นับถือของประชาชน ได้ยืนขึ้นในสภา แล้วสั่งให้พาพวกอัครทูตออกไปเสียภายนอกครู่หนึ่ง

35And he said to them, “Men of Israel, take care what you are about to do with these men. 35ท่านจึงได้กล่าวแก่เขาว่า “ท่านชนชาติอิสราเอล ซึ่งท่านหวังจะทำแก่คนเหล่านี้ จงระวังตัวให้ดี

36For before these days Theudas rose up, claiming to be somebody, and a number of men, about four hundred, joined him. He was killed, and all who followed him were dispersed and came to nothing.

36เมื่อคราวก่อนมีคนหนึ่งชื่อธุดาส อวดตัวว่าเป็นผู้วิเศษ มีผู้คนติดตามประมาณสี่ร้อย แต่ธุดาสถูกฆ่าเสีย คนที่เป็นพรรคพวกก็กระจัดกระจายสาปสูญไป

37After him Judas the Galilean rose up in the days of the census and drew away some of the people after him. He too perished, and all who followed him were scattered.

37ภายหลังผู้นี้มีอีกคนหนึ่งชื่อยูดาสเป็นชาวกาลิลี ได้ปรากฏขึ้นในคราวจดบัญชีสำมะโนครัว และได้เกลี้ยกล่อมผู้คนให้ติดตามตัวไป ผู้นั้นก็พินาศด้วย คนที่เป็นพรรคพวกก็กระจัดกระจายไป

38So in the present case I tell you, keep away from these men and let them alone, for if this plan or this undertaking is of man, it will fail; 38ในกรณีนี้ข้าพเจ้าจึงว่าแก่ท่านทั้งหลายว่า จงปล่อยคนเหล่านี้ไปตามเรื่อง อย่าทำอะไรแก่เขาเลย เพราะว่าถ้าความคิดหรือกิจการนี้ มาจากมนุษย์ก็จะล้มละลายไปเอง

39but if it is of God, you will not be able to overthrow them 39but if it is of God, you will not be able to overthrow them. You might even be found opposing God!” So they took his advice, 39แต่ถ้ามาจากพระเจ้า ท่านทั้งหลายจะทำลายเสียก็ไม่ได้ เกลือกว่าท่านกลับจะเป็นผู้สู้รบกับพระเจ้า”

40and when they had called in the apostles, they beat them and charged them not to speak in the name of Jesus, and let them go. 40เขาทั้งหลายจึงยอมฟังกามาลิเอล และเมื่อได้เรียกพวกอัครทูตเข้ามาแล้ว จึงเฆี่ยนและกำชับไม่ให้ออกพระนามของพระเยซู แล้วก็ปล่อยไป

41Then they left the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer dishonor for the name. 41พวกอัครทูตจึงออกไปให้พ้นหน้าสภาด้วยความยินดี ที่เห็นว่าตนสมจะได้รับการหลู่เกียรติเพราะพระนามนั้น

42And every day, in the temple and from house to house, they did not cease teaching and preaching Jesus as the Christ. 42ที่ในบริเวณพระวิหารและตามบ้านเรือน เขาได้สั่งสอนและประกาศข่าวประเสริฐทุกๆวันมิได้ขาด ว่าพระเยซูทรงเป็นพระคริสต์
