27 Factors Affecting Processing Speed Registers: ภายใน CPU จะมีหน่วยความจำเล็ก ๆ ที่เราเรียกว่า registers อยู่ด้วย ตัว registers จะ ทำการเก็บข้อมูลและชุดคำสั่งในขณะที่ CPU ทำ การประมวลผล ขนาดของ registers : มีผลต่อการประมวลผลใน แต่ละครั้ง ซึ่งจะมีขนาดตั้งแต่ 32- 64 bit ปัจจุบันอาจจะมากกว่านี้ ซึ่งมันหมายความว่า ถ้า มี Regeters ความจุมาก CPU ก็จะประมวลผลได้ เร็วขึ้น

34 Cache Memory Cache memory : หน่วยความจำ ความเร็วสูง จะ เก็บข้อมูลและชุดคำสั่งปัจจุบัน ที่ CPU load ทำงาน อยู่ CPU : จะทำการค้นหาข้อมูลจาก Cache เมื่อเปียบ เทียบระหว่างการค้นหาข้อมูลจาก RAM และ Cache,CPU จะเข้าถึง (access) Cache ได้เร็วกว่า RAM cache : จะมีอยู่หลายระดับ เช่น cache Level-1 (L1) จะฝังอยู่ใน CPU ส่วน Level-2 (L2) อยู่นอก CPU สามารถถอดออก หรือเสียบเข้าได้ ซื้อเพิ่มได้ ถ้าในเครื่องของเรามี cache มาก : มันก็จะมี ผลกระทบโดยตรงต่อความเร็วของระบบเครื่อง นั่น ก็คือ เครื่องจะทำงานได้เร็วขึ้น
