4จงเข้าสนิทอยู่ในเรา และเราเข้าสนิทอยู่ในท่าน แขนงจะออกผลเองไม่ได้ นอกจากจะติดอยู่กับเถาฉันใด ท่านทั้งหลายก็จะเกิดผลไม่ได้ นอกจากจะเข้าสนิทอยู่ในเราฉันนั้น

5I am the vine; you are the branches
5I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in Me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing.

5เราเป็นเถาองุ่น ท่านทั้งหลายเป็นแขนง ผู้ที่เข้าสนิทอยู่ในเราและเราเข้าสนิทอยู่ในเขา ผู้นั้นก็จะเกิดผลมาก เพราะถ้าแยกจากเราแล้วท่านจะทำสิ่งใดไม่ได้เลย

6If anyone does not abide in Me he is thrown away like a branch and withers; and the branches are gathered, thrown into the fire, and burned. 6ถ้าผู้ใดมิได้เข้าสนิทอยู่ในเรา ผู้นั้นก็ต้องถูกตัดทิ้งเสียเหมือนแขนง แล้วก็เหี่ยวแห้งไป และถูกเก็บเอาไปเผาไฟ

7If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. 7ถ้าท่านทั้งหลายเข้าสนิทอยู่ในเรา และถ้อยคำของเราฝังอยู่ในท่านแล้ว ท่านจะขอสิ่งใด ซึ่งท่านปรารถนาก็จะได้สิ่งนั้น

8By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit and so prove to be my disciples. 8พระบิดาของเราทรงได้รับเกียรติเพราะเหตุนี้คือเมื่อท่านทั้งหลายเกิดผลมาก ท่านก็เป็นสาวกของเรา

9As the Father has loved Me, so have I loved you. Abide in My love

10If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father's commandments and abide in His love.

10ถ้าท่านทั้งหลายประพฤติตามบัญญัติของเรา ท่านก็จะยึดมั่นอยู่ในความรักของเรา เหมือนดังที่เราประพฤติตามพระบัญญัติของพระบิดา และยึดมั่นอยู่ในความรักของพระองค์

3if indeed by putting it on we may not be found naked

4For while we are still in this tent, we groan, being burdened—not that we would be unclothed, but that we would be further clothed, so that what is mortal may be swallowed up by life.

4เพราะว่าเราผู้อาศัยในร่างกายนี้จึงครวญคร่ำเป็นทุกข์ มิใช่เพราะปรารถนาที่จะอยู่ตัวเปล่า แต่ปรารถนาจะสวมกายใหม่นั้น เพื่อว่าร่างกายของเราซึ่งจะต้องตายนั้นจะได้ถูกชีวิตอมตะกลืนเสีย

3You return man to dust and say, “Return, O children of man

4For a thousand years in your sight are but as yesterday when it is past, or as a watch in the night. 4เพราะพันปีในสายพระเนตรของพระองค์ เป็นเหมือนวานนี้ซึ่งผ่านไปแล้ว หรือเหมือนยามเดียวในกลางคืน

5You sweep them away as with a flood; they are like a dream, like grass that is renewed in the morning: 5พระองค์ทรงกวาดมนุษย์ไปเสีย เขาเป็นเหมือนความฝัน เหมือนหญ้าที่งอกขึ้นใหม่ในเวลาเช้า

12So teach us to number our days that we may get a heart of wisdom

26And everyone who hears these words of mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. 26แต่ผู้ที่ได้ยินคำเหล่านี้ของเราและไม่ประพฤติตามเล่า เขาก็เปรียบเสมือนผู้ที่โง่เขลา สร้างเรือนของตนไว้บนทราย

27And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell, and great was the fall of it.” 27ฝนก็ตกและน้ำก็ไหลเชี่ยว ลมก็พัดปะทะเรือนนั้น เรือนนั้นก็พังทลายลง และการซึ่งพังทลายนั้นก็ใหญ่ยิ่ง”

13Return, O LORD. How long. Have pity on your servants

14Satisfy us in the morning with your steadfast love, that we may rejoice and be glad all our days. 14ขอทรงให้ข้าพระองค์ทั้งหลายอิ่มในเวลาเช้าด้วยความรัก มั่นคงของพระองค์ เพื่อข้าพระองค์ทั้งหลายจะได้เปรมปรีดิ์และยินดีตลอด วันเวลาของข้าพระองค์

15Make us glad for as many days as you have afflicted us, and for as many years as we have seen evil. 15ขอทรงให้ข้าพระองค์ทั้งหลายยินดีให้มากวัน เท่ากับที่พระองค์ได้ทรงให้ข้าพระองค์ทุกข์ยากนั้น และให้มากปีเท่ากับที่ข้าพระองค์ได้ประสบการร้าย

18as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal.

5And why have you made us come up out of Egypt to bring us to this evil place? It is no place for grain or figs or vines or pomegranates, and there is no water to drink.”

5และทำไมท่านจึงให้เราออกจากอียิปต์ นำเรามายังที่เลวทรามนี้เป็นที่ซึ่งไม่มีพืช ไม่มีมะเดื่อ องุ่นหรือทับทิม และไม่มีน้ำดื่ม”

6Then Moses and Aaron went from the presence of the assembly to the entrance of the tent of meeting and fell on their faces. And the glory of the LORD appeared to them,

6แล้วโมเสสและอาโรนออกจากที่ประชุม ไปที่ประตูเต็นท์นัดพบและซบหน้าลง และพระสิริของพระเจ้าปรากฏแก่เขา

7and the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, 7พระเจ้าตรัสกับโมเสสว่า

8“Take the staff, and assemble the congregation, you and Aaron your brother, and tell the rock before their eyes to yield its water. So you shall bring water out of the rock for them and give drink to the congregation and their cattle.”

8“จงเอาไม้เท้าและเรียกประชุมชุมนุมชน ทั้งเจ้าและอาโรนพี่ชายของเจ้า และบอกหินต่อหน้าประชาชนให้หินหลั่งน้ำ ดังนั้นเจ้าจะเอาน้ำออกจากหินให้เขา ดังนั้นแหละเจ้าจะให้น้ำแก่ชุมนุมชนและสัตว์ดื่ม”

9And Moses took the staff from before the LORD, as he commanded him

10Then Moses and Aaron gathered the assembly together before the rock, and he said to them, “Hear now, you rebels: shall we bring water for you out of this rock?”

10โมเสสกับอาโรนก็เรียกชุมนุมชนให้ไปพร้อมกันที่หิน โมเสสกล่าวแก่เขาว่า “เจ้าผู้กบฏจงฟัง ณ บัดนี้จะให้เราเอาน้ำออกจากหินนี้ให้พวกเจ้าดื่มหรือ”

11And Moses lifted up his hand and struck the rock with his staff twice, and water came out abundantly, and the congregation drank, and their livestock. 11และโมเสสก็ยกมือขึ้นตีหินนั้นสองครั้งด้วยไม้เท้า และน้ำก็ไหลพล่านออกมามากมาย ชุมนุมชนและสัตว์ของเขาก็ได้ดื่มน้ำ

12And the LORD said to Moses and Aaron, “Because you did not believe in me, to uphold me as holy in the eyes of the people of Israel, therefore you shall not bring this assembly into the land that I have given them.”

12พระเจ้าตรัสกับโมเสสและอาโรนว่า “เพราะเจ้ามิได้เชื่อเราจึงมิได้ถวาย ความศักดิ์สิทธิ์แก่เราต่อหน้าคนอิสราเอล เพราะฉะนั้นเจ้าจึงจะมิได้นำคนที่ประชุม นี้เข้าไปในแผ่นดินซึ่งเราได้ให้แก่เขา”

13These are the waters of Meribah, where the people of Israel quarreled with the LORD, and through them He showed Himself holy. 13น้ำนั้นคือน้ำเมรีบาห์ เพราะว่าคนอิสราเอลได้ต่อว่าพระเจ้า และพระองค์ทรงสำแดงความบริสุทธิ์ศักดิ์สิทธิ์ท่ามกลาง เขา

4And Peter said to Jesus, “Lord, it is good that we are here
4And Peter said to Jesus, “Lord, it is good that we are here. If you wish, I will make three tents here, one for you and one for Moses and one for Elijah.”

4ฝ่ายเปโตรทูลพระเยซูว่า “พระองค์เจ้าข้า ซึ่งเราอยู่ที่นี่ก็ดี ถ้าพระองค์ต้องพระประสงค์ ข้าพระองค์จะทำเพิงสามหลังที่นี่ สำหรับพระองค์หลังหนึ่ง สำหรับโมเสสหลังหนึ่ง สำหรับเอลียาห์หลังหนึ่ง”

5He was still speaking when, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them, and a voice from the cloud said, “This is My beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased; listen to Him.”

5เปโตรทูลยังไม่ทันขาดคำ ก็บังเกิดมีเมฆสุกใสมาปกคลุมเขาไว้ แล้วมีพระสุรเสียงออกมาจากเมฆนั้นว่า “ท่านผู้นี้เป็นบุตรที่รักของเรา เราชอบใจ ท่านผู้นี้มาก จงเชื่อฟังท่านเถิด”

6When the disciples heard this, they fell on their faces and were terrified. 6ฝ่ายพวกสาวกเมื่อได้ยินก็ซบหน้ากราบลงกลัวยิ่งนัก

7But Jesus came and touched them, saying, “Rise, and have no fear

8And when they lifted up their eyes, they saw no one but Jesus only
