Formalities, Self-Worth & Equality- ธรรมเนียมปฏิบัติ คุณค่าในตัว ความเท่าเทียม Who or what determines your worth? ใครหรืออะไรที่เป็นตัวกำหนดคุณค่า Hierarchical society; status is ascribed; rights come with status ความถูกต้องขึ้นอยู่กับสถานะทางสังคม Outward appearance is very important; shows your status รูปลักษณ์ภายนอกเป็นสิ่งสำคัญบ่งบอกถึงสถานะทางสังคม สำเนียงส่อภาษา กิริยาส่อสกุล Manners make the man Egalitarian society; everyone has equal rights ทุกคนมีความเท่าเทียมกัน Casual interaction is the norm; dislike/distrust of formality ไม่มีความพิธีการมาก ไม่ชอบพิธีรีตอง คนทุกคนเกิดมามีสิทธิเท่าเทียมกัน มนุษย์ทุกคนมีสิทธิขั้นพื้นฐาน เป็นสิทธิที่ไม่มีใคร เปลี่ยนแปลง หรือแย่งไปจากเราได้ “…that all men are created equal…endowed by their creator with certain inalienable rights…”
