Roll up และ Drill Down Roll up เป็นกระบวนการเปลี่ยนแปลงระดับความละเอียดของการพิจารณาข้อมูล จากส่วนของรายละเอียดมาก จนมาเป็นข้อมูลสรุป Drill Down เป็นกระบวนการเปลี่ยนแปลงระดับความละเอียดของการพิจารณาข้อมูล จากข้อมูลสรุป จนมาเป็นข้อมูลในส่วนรายละเอียด Slice and Dice Slice เป็นการเลือกพิจารณาผลลัพธ์บางส่วนที่เราสนใจ โดยการเลือกเฉพาะค่าที่ถูกกำกับด้วยข้อมูลบางค่าของแต่ละมิติ Dice เป็นกระบวนการพลิกแกนหรือมิติข้อมูล ให้มุมมองที่ต่างออกไป
