คำที่เราใช้เรียกแทนคน สัตว์ สิ่งของ สถานที่ (noun) หรือคำที่ใช้แทนคำที่เคยกล่าวไปแล้วหรือคำที่กำลังจะกล่าว เพื่อเป็นการหลีกเลี่ยงการใช้คำที่ซ้ำซ้อนในประโยคๆหนึ่ง คำกลุ่มนั้นเราจะเรียกว่า คำสรรพนาม (Pronouns) โดย Pronoun นั้นจะมีคุณสมบัติเหมือนกับคำนามทุกอย่าง นั่นคือสามารถเป็นได้ทั้งประธานและเป็นได้ทั้งกรรมของประโยค I T A L 4.0

There are 7 types of pronoun:  Personal Pronoun (บุรุษสรรพนาม) เช่น I, you, we, he, she, it, they  Possessive Pronoun (สรรพนามเจ้าของ) เช่น mine, yours, his, hers, its, theirs, ours  Reflexive Pronouns (สรรพนามตนเอง) เป็นคำที่มี - self ลงท้าย เช่น myself, yourself, ourselves  Definite Pronoun (หรือ Demonstrative Pronouns สรรพนามเจาะจง) เช่น this, that, these, those, one, such, the same G I T A L 4.0
