Pedal reserve distance With the engine running and the parking brake released, depress the brake pedal using 490 N (50 kgf, 110 lbf) and measure the pedal reserve distance with a scale to check that it is within the prescribed range. Refer to the Repair Manual for standard values. Measure the distance from the floor to the top surface of the brake pedal.
