6 When you have to travel abroad by plane, you must have a "Ticket" and a "Passport".

7 When you arrive at the airport, you have to go to "Check-in" at the check-in counter according to the information stated on the ticket.

8 The information should include "Flight Number", "Destination", and "Boarding Time".

19 At the check in counter Agent : Good evening. Welcome to A1 Airlines. Please give me your ticket and ID. Passenger : Here they are. Agent : Thank you. Do you have any check-in baggage? Passenger : Yes, I have one suitcase. Agent : Okay. Any hand-baggage? Passenger : Yes, I am carrying my backpack into the cabin. Agent : Here's a security tag for your cabin-baggage please attach the tag to your bag. Passenger : Thank you.

20 Choosing the seat Agent : Would you like the window seat or the aisle seat? Passenger : I think I will go for the aisle seat this time. Agent : Sure sir. I can give you the aisle seat. Passenger : Thanks. That will be very nice. Agent : You're welcome. Your seat number is 6D.

21 At the Baggage checking machine
Guard : Please take out your laptops and mobile phone and put it in this tray. Passenger : Alright. Guard : You can proceed to the security check. Please remember to collect your items after the check. Passenger : Thank you, I will.

22 At the security check Guard : Please empty your pockets and put the contents in the tray, and hand me your boarding pass. Passenger : Sure. Guard : Please raise your hands and keep them raised while I inspect you. Passenger : No problems. Guard : Okay, you're cleared to go. Here's your boarding pass. Passenger : Thank you.

23 Officials (immigration, customs, travel security) can ask you any questions regarding your travel. There are no standard questions. These are example questions that different officials may ask when entering or exiting the country. They may ask you other questions.

What's the purpose of your visit?  What is your purpose of your travel?  Why are you going to the US? How long will you be staying?  When are you returning to your country?  Are you importing any tobacco, alcohol, or firearms? 

25 Do you have anything to declare?
What are you declaring to day?  How much money do you have?  How can you support yourself?  Do you have proof of financial support?  Have you ever been fingerprinted?  Where are you traveling in the US ?  Have you been convicted of a crime?  How many bags are you checking today? 

26 Have your bags been with you at all times? 
Are you carrying anything for anyone besides yourself? Did you pack your own bags?  Can I inspect your bags?  May I check your bags? Has anyone unknown to you asked you to carry an item on this flight? Have any of the items you are traveling with been out of your control since the time you packed them?

29 There are two pieces of equipment in security: you put your bags through the X-ray machine, and you walk through the metal detector. The X-ray machine has a conveyor belt that moves your bags automatically through the machine. You can put small items like keys or money into plastic bins.

31 Agent: Please lay your bags flat on the conveyor belt, and use the bins for small objects.
You: Do I need to take my laptop out of the bag? Agent: Yes, you do. Take off your hat and your shoes, too. The phrase “you’re all set” is a common expression that means “you’re finished and everything is OK.”

32 You: “I would like to confirm my flight” Them: “Can I get your ticket number?” You: “The number is ” Them: “You are scheduled to depart on June 15th at 1.00 p.m. Is this correct? You: “ Yes it is.” Them: “ Is anybody else traveling with you?” You: “Yes, my wife” Them: “Can I have the other ticket number” You: “It is ” Them: “Your tickets have been confirmed. Please arrive at the airport 3 hours before your flight departs. Thank you for calling.”

33 At the bus or train Station
