1. เพื่อศึกษาทำความเข้าใจในทิศทางและวิธีดำเนินการวิจัยทางการบริหารการศึกษา ทั้งในประเทศและต่างประเทศ 2. เพื่อศึกษาวิธีดำเนินการวิจัยบางประเภท เช่น การวิจัยเชิงนโยบาย การวิจัยอนาคต การวิจัยเชิงปฏิบัติการ การวิจัยและพัฒนา การพัฒนาตัวบ่งชี้ การสร้างโมเดลสมการโครงสร้าง และการประเมิน รวมทั้งระเบียบวิธีวิจัยแบบผสม จุดมุ่งหมายของรายวิชา
