เศษ ใช้เลขจำนวนนับ ส่วน ใช้เลขลำดับที่ มี hyphen ( - ) มาคั่นระหว่างเศษและส่วน 1/8 = one – eighth 1/3 = one – third 1/2 = one - half

1/2 อาจอ่านว่า a half หรือ one half 1/100 a hundred หรือ one hundred ถ้าเศษมากกว่าหนึ่ง ให้เติม s ที่เลขส่วนตลอดไป เช่น 2/3 = two – thirds 5/8 = five – eighths
