Registration Office Student Exchange Students participating in UMAP undertake a period of formal study while on exchange. This study should be for a minimum of one semester and a maximum of two semesters. Hosting universities are expected to waive tuition fees for UMAP students on exchange. Credit for study undertaken while on exchange is to be accepted by the home university. Undergraduate and postgraduate students can participate in UMAP. Student Exchange Home universities will:

Approve the study programs, including any necessary language training, to be undertaken by participating students and staff. Determine the level of financial support to be given to participating students and staff. Provide appropriate preparatory courses for their students and staff prior to their departure. Recognize work completed overseas for credit towards awards they offer. Student Exchange Host universities will: Provide the agreed study programs for participating students and staff. Evaluate the performance of participants and report to home universities. Provide appropriate counseling and other support services to participants. Assist students and staff to obtain accommodation at reasonable cost. Ensure that appropriate health care arrangements are made for participating students and staff. Does UMAP provide funds for students or staff exchanges?
สำนักทะเบียนและประมวลผล Registration Office Does UMAP provide funds for students or staff exchanges? The UMAP Organisation currently does not have funds to assist individual exchanges. In several UMAP countries governments fund national UMAP programs. Funding arrangements for exchanges are agreed between the home assist and host universities. The university-to-university agreements deal with questions such as maintenance of scholarship benefits, eligibility for government funding assistance and health care costs. Registration Office The University Mobility in Asia and the Pacific (UMAP) Credit Transfer Scheme (UCTS) has been developed to promote university student mobility in the Asia Pacific region. The objective of the UCTS is to help make short-term student exchange more effective by ensuring credit for study undertaken on exchange and to facilitate greater mobility between UMAP countries/Territories and other regions.
