5 ความเป็นมา/ ปัญหา การใช้ระบบสารสนเทศ
ติดตั้งใช้งานระบบตั้งแต่ 1 ตุลาคม 2553 บางระบบไม่ถูกนำมาใช้ในการปฏิบัติงาน ทำให้ไม่สามารถนำระบบเทคโนโลยีสารสนเทศไปใช้งานเพื่อเพิ่มประสิทธิภาพการจัดเก็บภาษีเท่าที่ควร ซึ่งทำให้ไม่คุ้มค่าต่อการลงทุน และการเพิ่มประสิทธิภาพการปฏิบัติงานและการจัดเก็บภาษี

ปีงบประมาณ 2557 ICT Master Plan 1. โครงการปรับปรุงการยื่นแบบทางอินเทอร์เน็ต ในรูปแบบภาษาอังกฤษ แผนแม่บท เทคโนโลยีสารสนเทศ กรมสรรพสามิต ปีงบประมาณ 2. โครงการปรับปรุง Website หน้าหลัก 4 ภาษา คือ จีน ฝรั่งเศส มาเลย์ เวียดนาม และ แบบฟอร์มเป็นภาษาอังกฤษ 3. โครงการปรับปรุงและสร้างฐานข้อมูลหลัก มาตรฐานสากลกรมสรรพสามิต ระยะที่ 2 (Excise Data Taxonomy Phase II) 4. โครงการบูรณาการระบบข้อมูลสารสนเทศแบบ รวมศูนย์ กรมสรรพสามิต (Consolidation Data Information of Excise Department)
