5 Natural History There are four dengue virus serotypes, called DEN-1
DEN DEN-4 They belong to the genus Flavivirus of Flaviviridae family. All 4 serotypes of Dengue infection are associated with Dengue hemorrhagic fever.

6 OBJECTIVE The overall objective of the programme is to develop a safe, effective and inexpensive live attenuated tetravalent dengue vaccine.
