Why this idea started? In the past every countries in the world thought they were separated and they would concentered only develop their own countries, fought and tried to take advantage to others and finally became to the wars. Around 19 centuries the globalization idea came because of the world connected by internet and all new technology. The better idea apart from competition now changed to co-operation and become to the member of the global. เมื่อก่อนนี้ ประเทศต่างๆมีแนวคิดในการแยกออกจากกันและคำนึงถึงผลประโยชน์ตัวเอง แย่ง ชิงทรัพยากรจากผู้อื่น แต่หลังผ่านสงครามโลกและความเสียหายที่รุนแรง จึงเกิดการ ตระหนักรู้ถึงการพึ่งพากัน อีกทั้งการที่โลกข้อมูลข่าวสาร ได้ถูกเชื่อมต่อกันโดยอินเตอร์เน็ต จึงเกิดความรู้สึกเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของพลเมืองโลกขึ้น

Globalization ก่อนการเกิดของคำว่า Global citizen เราได้รู้จักกับโลกในยุค Globalization มาเป็น เวลาประมาณ 20 ปี ซึ่งถือเป็นจุดเปลี่ยนสำคัญของโลก *** Globalization - The worldwide movement toward economic, financial, trade, and communications integration. โลกาภิวัตน์ หมายถึง "การแพร่กระจายไปทั่วโลก ทั้งทางเศรษฐกิจ การเมือง สิ่งแวดล้อม และวัฒนธรรมที่ เกิดขึ้นในส่วนหนึ่งของโลก ส่งผลกระทบอันรวดเร็วและสำคัญต่อส่วนอื่นๆของโลก

Global citizenship Means taking responsibility for global issues. A global citizen is someone who identifies with being part of an emerging world community and whose actions contribute to building this community's values and practices. การเป็นประชาคมโลกหรือพลเมืองโลก – หมายถึงการมีบทบาท หน้าที่ ความ รับผิดชอบที่เกี่ยวข้องในฐานะสมาชิกของสังคมทั้งในระดับท้องถิ่น ประเทศ และ ระดับโลก ตลอดจนการมีส่วนร่วมรับผิดชอบในฐานะพลเมืองที่ดีของสังคมที่ คำนึงถึงสิทธิมนุษยชนและอุดมการณ์ประชาธิปไตย

Who is a Global Citizen? A Global Citizen is someone who: is aware of the wider world and has a sense of their own role as a world citizen ตระหนักถึงโลกและมีความรู้สึกถึงบทบาทของตัวเองในฐานะพลเมืองโลก respects and values diversity - เคารพและเข้าใจในความแตกต่างหลากหลาย has an understanding of how the world works – เข้าใจว่าระบบเศรษฐกิจ การเมือง สังคม ของโลกดำเนินไปอย่างไร is outraged by social injustice – พยายามลดความไม่เป็นธรรมในสังคม participates in the community at a range of levels, from the local to the global - มีส่วนร่วมในชุมชนตั้งแต่ระดับเล็กไปถึงระดับใหญ่ is willing to act to make the world a more equitable and sustainable place - เต็มใจที่จะทำให้โลกเป็นสถานที่เท่าเทียมกันมากขึ้นและยั่งยืน takes responsibility for their actions.- มีความรับผิดชอบในทุกการกระทำของ ตนเอง

Ways to become a global citizen
1. RECOGNIZE THE GLOBAL PART OF WHO YOU ARE: All of our lives have become globalized; whether through the Internet, the way in which we’re impacted by the global economy; our desire to provide humanitarian assistance to disaster victims in countries other than our own. เราทุกคนมีส่วนหนึ่งของเราที่เป็นส่วนหนึ่งของโลก ผ่านการรับรู้จาก อินเตอร์เน็ต ซึ่งจะทำให้เรามีส่วนร่วม เกิดความคิด เวลาที่ส่วนอื่นๆมีปัญหา หรือเกิดอะไรขึ้น ดังนั้น ในการเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของพลเมืองโลก เราจะต้อง ตรวจสอบชีวิตของตนเอง รับรู้มิติทั่วโลก และรู้ว่ามันจะส่งผลกับเราอย่างไร

EXPAND YOUR DEFINITION OF COMMUNITY: Because of the many ways in which countries and people are now so interconnected, we all are now part of an emerging world community. เข้าใจถึงความหมายของชุมชนขยาย – การที่ประเทศและประชาชนทั่วโลก ในขณะ นี้เชื่อมต่อกัน ทางใดทางหนึ่ง เช่น การค้า ความร่วมมือ ความช่วยเหลือ อุดมการณ์ แสดงว่าเราทุกคนในขณะนี้เป็นส่วนหนึ่งของประชาคมโลกที่เกิดขึ้นใหม่ แต่ในขณะเดียวกันเราก็ยังเป็นสมาชิกของชุมชนเดิม แต่ให้มองในภาพกว้างขึ้นว่าเรา คือส่วนหนึ่งของโลกด้วย

3. BECOME AWARE OF GLOBAL POLICIES
Whether you realize it or not, all around you, policies and programs are being developed to help govern our emerging world community. Such policies range in scope from international treaties that ban the spread of nuclear weapons to administrative rules and regulations governing the internet.
