Background of Cohort Study
What is Cohort ? Cohort: a group of people with a common characteristic or set of characteristics being followed up for a specified period of time to determine the incidence of some outcome. What is Cohort Study ? A cohort study or panel study is a form of longitudinal study (a type of observational study) used in medicine, social science, environmental science, and ecology. It is an analysis of risk factor and follows a group of people who do not have the disease, and uses correlations to determine the absolute risk of subject contraction

ที่มาและวัตถุประสงค์ Rayong Cohort Study ความร่วมมือระหว่างหน่วยงานภาครัฐและอุตสาหกรรม ในการ เฝ้าระวัง และติดตามตรวจสอบผลกระทบเชิงสุขภาพของ ประชาชน และพนักงานโรงงานในจังหวัดระยอง การวิเคราะห์ความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างสิ่งแวดล้อมและผลกระทบ ต่อสุขภาพของประชาชนและพนักงานโรงงาน ข้อมูลพื้นฐาน (Baseline Data) ของการจัดทำ HIA ข้อมูลในการสื่อสารเพื่อสร้างความเข้าใจและความมั่นใจต่อ มาตรการด้านสุขภาพ

Rayong Cohort Task Force ผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัดระยอง มีคำสั่งแต่งตั้งคณะทำงาน Rayong Cohort เมื่อวันที่ 9 พฤษภาคม 2554 ขึ้น เพื่อ ร่วมกันจัดทำฐานข้อมูลสุขภาพประชาชน (ประชาชนในพื้นที่ และพนักงานในโรงงาน) ในเขตพื้นที่มาบตาพุด และติดตาม เฝ้าระวังสุขภาพ คณะกรรมการและคณะทำงานฯ ที่ได้รับการแต่งตั้ง ประกอบด้วย คณะที่ปรึกษา คณะกรรมการอำนวยการ คณะทำงานวิชาการเพื่อจัดการข้อมูล คณะทำงานสื่อสารข้อมูลสุขภาพ
