Leave the room quickly, will you? นักเรียนจะสังเกตได้ว่าในประโยคข้างต้นนี้ ในประโยคหลักขึ้นต้นด้วยกริยา (V.1) เราเรียกประโยคนี้ว่า ประโยคคำสั่ง (Imperative) ในส่วน tag จะใช้ won’t you? ซึ่งจะทำให้ประโยคคำสั่งมีความหมาย อ่อนลง กลายเป็น ประโยคสุภาพ แต่จะใช้ will you? ก็ได้ แต่มีความหมายในเชิงออกคำสั่งและ มีความสุภาพน้อยกว่า won’t you? แต่ถ้าใช้ would you? ความหมายจะสุภาพกว่า will you? ค่ะ Exit

Don’t leave me alone, will you? Don’t sing while you are eating, will you? นักเรียนจะสังเกตได้ว่าในประโยคข้างต้นนี้ ในประโยคหลักขึ้นต้นด้วย Don’t + กริยา (V.1) เราเรียกประโยคนี้ว่า ประโยคคำสั่งห้าม (negative imperative) ในส่วน tag จะใช้ will you? ได้เพียงอย่างเดียว Exit

ถ้านักเรียนต้องการพูดประโยค คำสั่ง (Imperative) เพื่อแสดงความหมายว่า ผู้พูดและผู้ฟังค่อนข้างจะเป็นกันเอง (friendly) ในส่วน tag จะใช้ can you? หรือจะใช้ can’t you? ก็ได้ แต่จะให้ความรู้สึกว่าผู้พูดมีความรู้สึกรำคาญ (irritation) ค่ะ ดังตัวอย่างต่อไปนี้ Help me, can you? Help me, can’t you? Exit

จากประโยคที่กล่าวมานั้น นักเรียนจะสังเกตว่าในประโยคหลักจะขึ้นต้นประโยคว่า Let’s หรือ Let’s not+ v.1 ซึ่งหมายถึงการขอร้องหรือเชิญชวน(request ) ในส่วน tag จะใช้ shall we ทั้งนี้คำว่า Let’s มาจากคำว่า Let us ความหมายคือ เรา ……. กันเถอะ ลองไปดูตัวอย่างกันค่ะ Exit

จากประโยคข้างต้นนั้น สังเกตได้ว่าในประโยคหลักมีคำว่า Let ขึ้นต้นประโยค ซึ่งหมายถึง การขออนุญาต จะมีลักษณะดังนี้ a) Let + คำสรรพนามที่เป็นกรรมของประโยค (object pronoun) + v.1 (ไม่เติมs) ในส่วน tag จะใช้ will you? b) Let + me + v.1 (ไม่เติมs) ในส่วน tag จะใช้ shall I? Exit

18 Conclusion 1. ประโยคคำสั่ง (Imperative) คือประโยคที่ขึ้นต้นด้วยกริยาหลักของประโยค และ จะละประธานของประโยคในส่วน tag จะใช้ will you?, won’t you?, can you?, can’t you? 2. ประโยคคำสั่งห้าม (Imperative) คือประโยคที่ขึ้นต้นด้วย Don’t + กริยาหลัก ของประโยคในส่วน tag จะใช้ will you? 3. ประโยคเชิญชวน (Request) คือประโยคที่ขึ้นต้นด้วย Let’s + กริยาหลักของประโยคในส่วน tag จะใช้ shall we? 4. ประโยคขออนุญาต (Permission) ส่วนประโยคที่ขึ้นต้นด้วย Let + me ในส่วน tag จะใช้ shall I? ส่วนประโยคที่ขึ้นต้นด้วย Let + object pronoun อื่นๆในส่วน tag จะใช้ will you?
