How IFRS impact ERP software
IFRS เป็นมาตรฐานใหม่ที่เป็นที่ยอมรับทั่วโลกมากกว่า 120 ประเทศ ซึ่งออกมาเพื่อทดแทน Generally Accepted Accounting Principles หรือ GAAP ซึ่งเป็นหลักการบัญชีที่ยอมรับทั่วโลกมาเป็นเวลายาวนาน และใช้เป็นหลักการที่สร้างมาตรฐานทางด้านเอกสารทางการบัญชี เพื่อเป็นหลักประกันว่าผู้ตรวจสอบจะสามารถตรวจสอบมาตรฐานทางการปฏิบัติทางการบัญชี เป็นหลักการที่สร้างความเที่ยงตรงของการทำบัญชีของบริษัทต่างๆให้เป็นมาตรฐานเดียวกันตลอดทั้งอุตสาหกรรม ซึ่งเป็นหลักการที่นักบัญชีของไทยทั้งหมดก็ใช้เป็นมาตรฐานการปฏิบัติมายาวนานเช่นกัน IFRS นี้จะส่งผลกระทบต่อมาตรฐานขั้นต่ำที่บริษัทจะต้องใช้ในการรับรู้การชี้วัดจ และต้องแนบกับ financial statements ของบริษัท การนำ IFRS มาทดแทน GAAP นั้นเท่ากับว่าบริษัททุกๆบริษัท จะต้องปรับแก้การรายงานงบการเงินของบริษัทต่อสาธารณะเสียใหม่ จึงจะเป็นที่ยอมรับของสาธารณะ ได้แก่ตลาดหลักทรัพย์ ประชาชนทั่วไป รวมไปถึงภาครัฐด้วยเช่นกัน

ทั่วโลกให้ความสำคัญต่อมาตรฐานใหม่นี้ โดยจะเห็นได้ว่า US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) ได้ประกาศเมื่อ วันที่ 25 สิงหาคม 2008 นี้ ว่าจะนำ IFRS มาใช้แทน GAAP และจะดำเนินไปสู่การใช้ IFRS เต็มรูปแบบภายในปี 2016 ส่วน Canada คาดว่าจะเป็น completely IFRS-compliant ภายในปี 2011 นี้ รวมทั้งประเทศต่างๆทั้งยุโรปและเอเชียมากกว่า 120 ประเทศ ก็ขานรับที่จะนำ IFRS มาใช้แทน GAAP
