2 Dengue Fever in Thailand ไข้เลือดออกในประเทศไทย

3 Aedes aegypti Behavior พฤติกรรมการแพร่พันธุ์ของยุงลาย

5 What is an Ovitrap? Ovitrap คืออะไร

6 How does it work? ดักลูกน้ำอย่างไร

7 Building an Ovitrap วิธีการทำ Ovitrap

8 MATERIALS: bamboo (or PVC), 1
MATERIALS: bamboo (or PVC), 1.25 liter soda bottle, spray paint, nylon or metal screen, thumb tacks, paperclips, grass, water, black cloth วัสดุ: ไม้ไผ่หรือพีวีซี ขวดพลาสติก 1.25 ลิตร สเปรย์สีดำ มุ้งลวด ตะปูหัวกลม ที่หนีบกระดาษ น้ำสะอาด ผ้าดิบ

9 Step Two: Prepare bottle ขั้นที่ 2: เตรียมขวดพลาสติก
Cut the top off of soda bottle. ตัดส่วนบนของขวดออก Spray paint the outside of the bottle black. พ่นสเปรย์รอบนอกขวด

10 Step Three: The Ring ขั้นที่ 3: วงแหวน

13 Step Six: Cutting the ring ขั้นที่ 6: ตัดวงแหวน
Roll cloth up to make room to cut. ม้วนผ้ารอบวงแหวน Cut a ring about 4 cm. tall. ตัดวงแหวนกว้างประมาณ 4 ซม.

14 Step Seven: Assembly ขั้นที่ 7: การประกอบชิ้นส่วน
Add a blade of grass ใส่หญ้า 1 ใบ Add bamboo ring. ใส่วงแหวนในขวด Fill water to screen level. ใส่น้ำให้พอดีกับมุ้งลวด

15 Step Eight: Paperclips ขั้นที่ 8: ที่หนีบกระดาษ
Secure cloth to soda bottle with paper clips ทำให้ผ้าติดกับขวดกับที่หนีบกระดาษ Prevents mosquitoes from laying eggs between cloth and bottle ขั้นตอนนี้ป้องกันยุงลายวางไข่ระหว่างผ้ากับขวด

16 Placement วางกับดัก Place traps in dark areas of house or outside of house where they will not be disturbed by rain, people, animals, etc. วางกับดักข้างนอกและข้างในบ้านบริเวณที่มืด Leave for 1 month, monitor water level just below screen. วางนานประมาณ 1 เดือน (สังเกตน้ำให้อยู่ใต้มุ้งลวดเสมอ) Multiple traps can be placed together: mosquitoes like to lay eggs in more than one place. Each house should have 6-10 traps. ทุกบ้านต้องมีกับดัก 6-10 ตัวเพราะว่ายุงลาย 1 ตัวจะวางไข่หลายสถานที่

17 Kill the Larvae! ฆ่าลูกน้ำ
After 1 month, open trap: remove ring, pour contents into another container หลังจาก 1 เดือนเปิดกับดักเอาวงแหวนออกรินน้ำใส่ภาชนะอื่นๆ Look for larvae มองดูลูกน้ำ Pour larvae on to dry surface in the sun. 18 If you do not see larvae in your trap either troubleshoot construction or change location.
